Pablo Picasso and woman in a restaurant

Once one woman approached Picasso in a restaurant,
and asked him to scribble something on a napkin.
She said that would be happy to pay whatever
he felt it was worth. Picasso complied and then said,
“That will be $10,000.”
“But it only took you 10 minutes,” the astonished woman
replied.

“Madame,” Picasso said:

“It has taken me forty years and 10 minutes to do that.”
